Know Your Hair Types
What is your hair type? Most people would answer curly or straight but there are actually more types than that. There are even multiple hair typing systems that classified these types but the foundation of most systems is built upon the Andre Walker System. Knowing your hair type means better knowing yourself, your genetic inheritance, easier to search for hair products and the best way to wear and style your hair. Hair typing systems were created as a uniform set of descriptors when discussing the many varieties of curls, coils, and waves.
To discover your natural texture, clean your hair off any styling products by thorough washing before examining your strands in front of the mirror. The Andre Walker System can be broken down into 4 sections (Numbered 1 to 4) with 3 separate subsets (labelled A to C) respectively. Sometimes, individual could have a head with a mix of two or three categories.
Type 1 Hair (1a,1b,1c)
-All Type 1 hair are naturally straight hair. Type 1a hair is very fine, very soft and the straightest of all three subsets. This make this hair type the most greasy and oily of all because natural oils from scalp can travel easily to the tip of the hair since there are no curls or kinks to disrupt this oil movement. This means it has to be washed more often.
-Type 1b hair is a little bit coarser, thicker and has more volume than Type 1a hair. Type 1b hair also tends to have fuller strands with a slight bend at the ends.
-Type 1c hair is the most common among Asian women. It is the most coarse and thick and has the highest tendency to frizz compared to the other type 1 hair subtypes.
Type 2 Hair (2a,2b,2c)
-Type 2 hair are naturally wavy and forms an ‘S’ shape. These hair types are not as oily as Type 1 due to their wave textures, but these are not dry as well.
-Type 2a wavy hair is made of fine or thin hair that has a “definite “S” pattern with a natural sheen. However, this type of waves usually lack definition and volume.
-Type 2b wavy hair has a medium texture, tends to frizz more than 2a especially at the crown and it is slightly more resistant to hair styling.
-Type 2c wavy hair is the thickest, coarsest, most frizzy and most resistant to styling of all the Type 2 wavy hair. Sometimes Type 2c hair will contain a mixture with Type 3a.
Type 3 Hair (3a,3b,3c)
-Type 3 hair appears to be straight when wet but returns to curly once dried. The level of curliness and fizziness depends on humidity. Type 3 hair is very voluminous and sheen and is fairly easy to style.
-Type 3a hair has well defined spring loopy ‘S’ pattern curls which are pretty lose and have volume or fullness but it is much prone to frizzing, and easier to lose definition when compared with any of the other type 3 hairs.
-The 3b hair is much voluminous than type 3a but has smaller diameter i.e. about the sharpie marker size. Its texture is coarser and less shiny when compared to 3a.
-Hair type 3c is the coarsest and most prone to frizz in type 3 hair. It has well defined, corkscrew like coils (curly with spiral), whose size range from those of a pencil to a small sized marker. It also has slightly a greater density, and volume.
Type 4 Hair (4a,4b,4c)
Type 4 hair is the common hair types for African but with so many interracial marriages and genetic crossover, anyone can have this type of hair. It is called the natural kinky hair or coily hair. This is the coarsest, driest and most knotted of all the other types of hair in the system. It has lots of turns and twists and many strands packed together. This texture makes it hard for it to retain moisture and to look shiny as well as able to hide the true length of the hair. Its appearance can range from being fine to wiry to course.
-Type 4a hair tends to be very fragile, tightly coiled, and can feature curly patterning. The spirals are about the diameter of a crochet needle that could be fine or wiry texture with a relatively high density.
-Type 4b kinks form a ‘Z’ shape and tends to range from being fine to wiry to coarse and it is densely packed and coiled tightly with capability of shrinking for up to 75% to its length.
-Type 4c hair can also range from fine, thin, soft to coarse with densely packed strands. Type 4c coils look identical to Type 4b except that the curls are tight kinks with less definition and less curly pattern.

4 Styling Tricks for Hair Loss
Genetic diseases, non-genetic diseases, stress, lifestyles and hormonal changes cause hair loss in human population. Although losing strands on top of your head poses no life-threatening situation but it does cause more stress, embarrassment, depression as well as hurting the self-esteem to the sufferer. The good news is that there are styling tricks one can use while waiting out any temporary losses or while you work with your dermatologist search for a long-term solution.
A straightforward solution to cover up balding spot is to choose a hairstyle that is suitable and capable for coverage. You can choose haircut that makes the most of what you have and gives you the appearance of more volume. If you are having your hair long and you are experiencing hair thinning problem, it is time to chop them off as long strands, without proper care, can stress and drag down the hair, causing it to fall off easily. An extra short pixie cut is very fashionable and can disguise your thinning hair perfectly. A layered bob cut could also cover up your balding spot by providing a lot of bouncy volumes. If you insist on keeping long hair, then try some styling techniques such as side braids, low ponytail or a top knot, whichever would best cover your thinning area. You can also change your haircut by doing small simple alteration such as getting some bangs or getting an asymmetry ending cut, which works well to camouflage and draw attention away from undesirable area. If you are still indecisive about a haircut, you can always throw a casual, tousled hairstyle before going out as tousled texture is a great trick for preventing “peek-a-boo” scalp and giving your hair more volume.
Helpful Hair Products
Using the right hair products might bring you back your hair thickness. There are dry shampoos, fine mist, root booster, volumizing mousse, volumizing spray, finishing spray and other products available in the market that can give your hair a lift and provide the appearance of greater thickness. These products offer strategic volume which is essential to hide thinning area and give the illustration of healthy hair. The secret to truly voluminous hair is to choose lightweight products that do not weigh hair down. Styling mousse has the airy formula that provides featherweight hold and creates gorgeous body. Root booster helps to maintain volume at hair roots. The root booster need to be sprayed directly on the roots to lift up the hair from root level. A good volumizing spray support the roots and thicken the diameter of each individual hair strand without causing hair to feel sticky or stiff. After styling each hairstyle, it is best to apply a finishing hairspray that provides hair hold without weight or stiffness.Toppik offer a good range of hair loss treatment and hair volumizing product such as toppik hair building shampoo, toppik hair building conditioner ,toppik hair fattener and toppik root volumizing dry shampoo.

Cosmetic Cover Up
Root Cover-Up and Hair Building Fibres can be very useful at most stages of hair thinning. Root cover up is a brush-on colour powder that is used to fill in the gaps among hair root. This product usually has tenacious camouflaging abilities and will not drip in sweat. Hair Building Fibres is another type of powdered product that adds thickness both at the roots and at the shaft by lacing in keratin fibres. These fibres come in a wide range of natural hair colour and will do a good job for all hair types including ethnic hair. Toppik Hair Building Fibres are made of Keratin protein that originated from a natural wool source, which is the closest match to human hair. Many people would think extensions can be the answer to disguising hair loss but in reality, clip-in and glue on extensions are causing more stress and damage to the remaining hair. The best solution to wear artificial hair on a head with thinning hair and hair loss problem would be using a Hair Fall. A Hair Fall is a type of artificial hair that wraps around your head like a veil that you wear underneath a layer of your own hair. It hugs the scalp gently and go around the head like a halo. It is brilliant in ensuring minimal stress and damage done to your existing hair. It does not pull at any roots and they blend in naturally with your own hair, make styling a breeze. Halo Couture is a recommended place to get this type of Hair Fall. They even provide a Halo ponytail piece that wraps around your ponytail.
Without taking medications and going for surgeries, you can still hide your balding hair and grow your self-confidence by just trying out these four styling tricks. These tricks work wonder for many and will do great change on your hair. Hair Under The Microscope
Hair shapes human physical appearances. It became a feature that people are obsessed with and are willing to put in effort and money to enhance it. Salons are appearing like mushrooms after rain in every corner in the country. Uncountable individuals are making a living by becoming barber, hairdresser and hair specialists. A lot of people are doing sales for hair products too. Hair products just keep on increasing since there is an ever-growing market for these products. Although people generally spend a lot of time caring and grooming their hair, not many of them are aware of the true image of hair under the microscope.
Figure 1 The image of a hair shaft enlarged under an electron microscope.
Typical human hair consists of the follicle and a shaft. A follicle or fondly known as the hair bulb is a structure beneath the skin of actively growing cells which eventually produce hair (hair shaft). Cells continually divide in the lower part of the bulb. The rapid divisions of cells at the base of the follicle pushed upward forming hair shaft as they harden and undergo pigmentation. The shaft are dead tissues protruding above the skin and composed of three layers, namely the medulla, cortex and the cuticle.
Figure 2 The cross-section showing three main components of a hair shaft.
Cuticle is the transparent outermost layer. It’s made of scales that overlap each other with the free ends of the scales directed toward the tip of the shaft. The scaly cuticle is to protect the inner layers of the hair. This delicate protective layer minimizes the movement of water in and out of the underlying cortex as well as holding the whole hair structure together. In a healthy condition, the cuticle will be smooth, shiny and intact. However, prolonged exposure to chemical, pollutions and harsh weather can lift the cuticle and disrupt this balance.
As shown in the pictures above, when the cuticle layer is perfectly closed, hair looks glossy and doesn’t tend to tangle or break. When a cuticle scales are raised or wide open, the scaly hair strands will rub against each other causing tangles. To avoid this, we should protect hair under harsh weather by wearing hats or using umbrellas, we should avoid chemical ingredients in hair care and we should minimize the usage of hot styling tools, and other product or treatments that is harmful to the hair.
The layer just beneath the cuticle is the cortex which is also the largest part of the hair shaft, forms the main bulk of hair. The cortex consists of long keratin filaments and consisted of compact, elongated cells and it is the part of the hair that contains pigment granules that give hair its colour. Pigment distribution varies from shaft to shaft, which sometimes causes uneven hair colour distribution. The health of the cortex depends largely on the integrity of the cuticle protecting it.
The central core of a hair shaft is the medulla but this component is not always present, especially in hairs with a thinner diameter. If present, it consists of a thin core of transparent cells and composed largely of air spaces as it often appears to be a hollow tube. However, this hollow tube could be filled with cells in fragmented form, continuous or even double. The medulla can contain pigment granules or unpigmented.
Using a single hair shaft, forensic scientist could find out many information of an individual including collecting DNA for identification purpose, testing for drugs or nutritional deficiencies in their body system.
Since we know aware of how hair under the microscope looks like. It is easier to illustrate the mechanism of hair keratin fibres that that is popularly used to enhance the cosmetic value of hair. The premium keratin in Toppik Hair Fibres is nearly identical to human hair, allowing the fibres to blend naturally and undetectably. The natural Keratin used by Toppik has an innate static charge that ensures their fibres adhere to each hair shaft regardless of any hair type. Toppik’s innovative technology allows the fibers to resist wind, rain and perspiration while filling in all the thinning area and balding spots on the head.

Reversing Hair Loss Naturally
In comparison with natural healing remedies, modern pharmaceuticals have been in use for a relatively short period of time. Aborigine tribes across the centuries have been using natural treatments and medicines made from plants and animals as they believe that these natural remedies are the perfection that nature has provide us with in order for us to survive. Pharmaceuticals are the achievement from the desires of mankind to imitate and improve upon what nature has given us.
In many admirations, natural remedies are far more progressive then modern pharmaceutical remedies which more often than not, only deal with soothing the symptoms rather than dealing with the underline health issue itself. While there is no disagreeing the efficiency of modern medicine in treating a wide range of ailments for many individuals, they do however have some side effects. Many of synthetic chemicals used came with a long list of possible side effects attributed to them. Every medical conditions are different and every individual is unique so it is only normal that modern medicine did not work for some of them, or it might be that they want to try natural medicine first or even in conjunction with modern medicine. The case can be applied to all sort of health issues including the disorder of hair loss.
In the United States, Saw Palmetto extract is ranked as the third most sold herbal dietary supplements. This amazing plant is able to treat a number of illnesses from headaches, colds, coughs and asthma to chronic bronchitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and migraine. It’s also used as a natural remedy to increase urine flow, to enhance sexual drive and to curb hair loss naturally. Here we will focus on how the extract of this plant works in supporting hair growth. As people age, their male androgen hormone, scientifically called 5α-Dihydrotestosterone or DHT in short, increases. This DHT causes hair follicles to shrink, resulting in a decrease of hair production. Thanks to the trait of Saw palmetto being anti-DHT, the DHT production could be blocked, preventing the shrinking of hair follicles, making it beneficial for hair growth.
Although no minimum effective dose has been established so far, a dose of 160 milligrams taken twice daily has been tested to produce constructive results in clinical research studies. The time taken for the supplement to be effective may take as long as 30 days.
Ashwagandha has so many restorative properties that it is called as the Indian Ginseng. It is a small shrub with yellow flowers and red fruit with the extract typically taken from the berries or roots of the plant. This antioxidant herb shows optimistic results in numerous minor and major health problems including but not limited to skin conditions, inflammation, insomnia, anxiety, asthma, skin conditions, hormonal imbalance, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Just like ginseng, Ashwagandha is a type of adaptogen herb, a unique class of healing plants that are able to help balance, restore and protect the body. Adaptogen aids in adaptation to stress and lowering the aging hormone, cortisol. Since a healthy body could be traced back to heathy hair, Ashwagandha is great for growing thicker hair. When included in hair care preparations, it manages dandruff and greasy hair, increases scalp circulation and improve hair growth. The powerful antioxidants in Ashwagandha fight the free radicals that causes hair greying, preserving natural hair colour.
Taking one 6 mg capsule of Ashwagandha herbs daily helps to eliminates toxins in the body and purifies your system, while treating several hair problems on the go.
Pumpkin Seed Oil
Pumpkin plays all kind of roles, from getting Cinderella to his prince, to scaring kids in Halloween to the root of your hair, inhibiting DHT formation throughout the body and contains fatty acids that support thick hair. As mentioned in the first point in this article, DHT does a lot of damage to the hair follicles to the extent that hair production slows and even halts. Pumpkin seed oil contains the phytosterol beta-sitosterol which reduces the damage done by DHT by inhibiting the conversion of useful testosterone into the harmful hormone. The mechanism is possible because the oil of the see has a steroid known as delta-7-sterol which competes for the same receptors as DHT.
According to the official study available at the US National Library of Medicine, patients who took two capsulated pumpkin seed oil in the morning and two in the evening before breakfast and dinner. Each capsule contained 100mg of pumpkin seed oil, for a total of 400mg of pumpkin seed oil daily. Another source suggested the taking of 1 tablespoon (8grams) of liquid pumpkin seed oil daily.
Biotin & Vitamin B5
Biotin, or Vitamin B7, is a water-soluble vitamin that’s a part of the vitamin B complex. Biotin can be found in food such as fish, eggs, organ meats, avocado, cauliflower, berries, legumes and mushrooms. Biotin and Vitamin B5 are nutrients that helps us keep a youthful, attractive appearance since it plays a major part in maintaining the health of our hair, nails and skin. Among others, it helps to protect skin from acne, fungal infections, rashes and severe dryness and cracking. Hence, biotin is commonly added to hair and skin beauty products, however it is believed to be not very well absorbed through the skin and must be ingested to reach maximum efficiency.
Zinc and Omega 3
Experts believe that deficiency in zinc can lead to deterioration of the protein structure that makes up our hair follicles. Weakened hair follicles are the main cause of hair shedding and hair loss. Zinc is also known to play a vital role in DNA and RNA production. This is essential for the normal division cell of hair follicle cells, leading to healthier hair growth. Examples of food rich in zinc are eggs, chickpeas, oysters, sweet potatoes, spinach and nuts. Omega 3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties that effectively prevent hair follicles from shrinking and inflammation. Examples of omega-3 rich foods are natto, walnuts, egg yolk, salmon, mackerel, tuna, white fish, sardines, and hemp seeds. If you don’t eat enough omega-3 foods, take one to two capsules or one tablespoon of a top-notch fish oil supplement to help reduce inflammation that causes hair disorders.
When the body is not getting the proper nutrients to grow strong hair, the hairs that are lost regularly each day are not being replaced easily, and hair loss problems might persist. Laser Hair Loss Treatment
Hair loss has been a persisting problem for generations. While some people found their solutions through traditional hair restoring methods,
modern medication and surgical hair transplants, these solutions don’t always work for everyone. Every individual reacts differently to different side effects,
ingredients and drugs and since most of the treatments take a lot of time and effort before giving any noticeable results;
the failures always impacted the patient in a significant negative way. There are safe cosmetic cover-up products that worth investing at www.toppikmalaysia.com/shop.
Do keep in mind that stress and depression are also a factor of hair loss.
This made it into a cycle of incurable hair loss since failure of treatment produces high stress which further encourages hair loss.
In 2007, low-level light therapy (LLLT) was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a safe treatment for hair loss.
LLLT is a type of laser hair loss treatment and alternatively known as cold laser, soft laser, low power laser, low level laser therapy,
red light therapy, therapeutic laser therapy, bio stimulation, and photo-bio modulation. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a general term
that describes any sort of phototherapy or laser treatment that does not break the skin layer. On top of being clinically proven and FDA cleared,
LLLT administered to the scalp has been shown to enhance the health of existing hair and to encourage new hair growth.
The principle behind laser hair loss treatment is to stimulate the blood supply in the scalp with the appropriate wavelength of light.
These lights brings in energy which heightens cells activities, stimulating blood vessels and allowing for more nutrients to reach the hair follicles,
even dormant follicles, bringing overall improvement to hair growth. The process is painless. Laser hair loss treatment can be practiced with the taking
of both oral and topical medication. Due to of its additional skin repairing properties, LLLT may also be used to aid healing of the scalp after hair transplant surgery.
Two types of LLLT that produced positive feedbacks are the iGrow and the Revage with success rate of 85% and an increase of hair density by 40% to 60%.
A number of companies now sell handheld, low-intensity lasers for home use that are called laser comb or laser helmet with usage instructions as
frequent as three times a week for 10 to 15 minutes. For home use appliances that can be easily available online, it is important to check the status of
FDA clearance (especially for women), insurance coverage and the background of the retailers. While many hair specialists are sceptical,
(unsure if their claims are based on true facts or to encourage patients seeks treatments from specialists’ clinics) studies showed that it takes at
least six months for effects to show and this is not even seen in all patients.
It also would not work if the hair follicles are too damaged to the extent of having a shiny bald head.
Recently, another home-use device with greater laser power than most in-office systems was developed under the name Laser Cap (Transdermal Company).
It complies with all US and International product safety standards. The product contains 5-mW laser diodes in a mesh network that fits under a cap
or a hat and covers the entire top of the scalp. It is nearly 40 times the power of comb-lasers and infinitely easier to use with a rechargeable battery
for treatment to be administered conveniently while “on the go” in a discreet fashion. The LaserCap is available to patients at USD $2,999.00,
excluding taxes and shipping or through physicians at a rental cost.
LaserCap is a non-chemical, non-invasive, pain-free treatment that can be applied anywhere and anytime you can wear a hat or cap.
In summary, all emerging LLLT technologies that are FDA approved are safe, acceptable and easy-to-use treatment option for patients with hair loss problems.
The limited surveys conducted do support the efficacy of these laser hair loss treatment tools.
However, proper considerations and treatment procedures must be better clarified in order to make this treatment more universally accepted.
More studies and researches are needed to optimize treatment parameters and determine long-term efficacy as well as security of emerging LLLT technologies.
In the meantime, hover your mouse over and click on the link www.toppikmalaysia.com for some awesome temporary cover-up that is affordable,
hassle free and gave you the best results of a head full of hair.
ANTI DHT Hair Loss Treatment Malaysia
What is DHT?
DHT stands for dihydrotestosterone.
DHT is a sex steroid and an androgen hormone. It is produced in the gonads. Roughly 5% of free testosterone is normally converted into DHT.
The enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to the more potent DHT is called the 5-alpha-reductase (5-AR).
Thus, if there is an increase in 5-AR in the body, there will be an increase in the conversion of testosterone into DHT and consequently an increase in hair loss.
What is the role of DHT?
DHT are responsible for the biological characteristics that characterize males in individual – formation of male genitalia, deep voices,
hairy chests and increased muscle mass, for example.
What is the problem with DHT?
DHT is entirely necessary for most hair growth on the body but is detrimental to head hair growth. DHT attach to androgen receptors on
hair follicles and genetically trigger the receptors to begin miniaturizing, disrupting normal hair growth. To back this up, researchers discovered
higher levels of DHT on follicles and skin of balding scalps than those from non-balding scalps. Male pattern baldness sufferers are actually
inheriting a condition where their hair follicles are genetically sensitive to DHT. The sensitive hair follicles begin to shrink, shortening the lifespan
of follicles and ending the production of cosmetically acceptable hair.
What are Anti DHT Hair Loss Treatments?
Finasteride is a type 2-selective inhibitor of 5-AR. Since DHT is a much stronger androgen than testosterone with about three to five times more
binding strength to the androgen receptor, the removal of 5-AR from these tissues can dramatically blocked the formation of DHT. Rather than act upon the hair follicles,
Finasteride is believed to act on the prostate to inhibit the enzyme 5-AR which directly inhibit DHT’s production.
Finasteride is available in tablets form and is marketed under two product branding, namely Aindeem and Propecia. The daily dose is one tablet (1mg)
and it is strictly for use in adult men only. It must not be taken by anyone aged under the age of 18 years or by women as it is harmful to unborn baby.
It might also trigger allergic reactions in some adult men, rendering them unsuitable to consume the medicines.
Nevertheless, studies of its efficacy have yielded impressive results within a few months with very rare (1-3% of men) side effects regarding to sexuality such
as loss of libido, reduced erection ability and/or decrease in ejaculate. However, the medication must be taken orally daily and indefinitely for if the medication
is stopped, the balding will continue. Finasteride offers hope to people suffers from hair loss but it does not reverse the problem quickly nor permanently as some
people took longer time (up to a year) to notice the full benefits. It might not be the final answer to many but it could be a less risky alternatives than surgery.
However, while waiting for the medication to produce results, one could always look into other faster result-producing products such as Toppik Hair Building Fibres at www.toppikmalaysia.com/shop .
All the hair loss treatments in the world will have minimal effect to your hair loss problems if the scalp on your head is still occupied by high concentration of DHT.
Thus, this is where Anti-DHT shampoos come in to play their roles in cleaning and clearing out as much dead skins, pollutants and DHT from your scalp as possible.
These shampoos contain special ingredients to reverse the shiny balding skin on your head and to promote hair growth by having DHT blocker ingredients.
Some well-known anti-DHT ingredients are saw palmetto, roibios, nettle leaf, pygeum extract, green tea extract, linonelic acid, Azelaic acid, emu oil and pumpkin seed oil.
If you suffer from hair loss problem and are using a shampoo, it’s worth massaging quality ingredients to your scalp daily that may also help to reduce scalp DHT levels.
When checking for DHT blocker ingredients, it is also important to note the volume of active ingredients because a low amount is unlikely to produce satisfying results.
That said, it’s better to go for a shampoo with less ingredients, but higher levels of the important active ingredients.
It is also useful to look up for other ingredients according to individual needs. For instances, niacin works in increasing the blood circulation in the scalp, biotin aids
in cells production in the scalp, jojoba oil increases hair growth while zinc and ketaconazole helps to reduce fungal infections in the scalp.
Various plant extracts, Rosemary oil, vitamin E and B-vitamin complex are thought to be beneficial for hair growth and hair health in overall.
Salicylic acid helps clear sebum and dead skin cells from the scalp while tea tree oil keeps scalp pores healthy and open.
For a quick makeover with headful of hair for special occasion, you can just get the dream product at www.toppikmalaysia.com.
While waiting for your shampoo or your oral medicine to kick in, Toppik Malaysia provides a safe and satisfying results within seconds.
It could be your best hair cosmetic products ever, just log on to www.toppikmalaysia.com/blog to understand more about it.

The idea of people putting cosmetics on their faces to enhance their facial features and to create an artificial beauty is so widely embraced.

There are these non-prescription cosmetic products made from keratin fibres that bulk-up thinning hair and bald patched in no time.
Camouflage products are offered in an assortment of colors to match natural hair color.
- Physical Cover Up
Strategic haircuts and headwear are the best short-term solution to improve physical appearance while people wait for hair transplantation or
when they are taking their time to decide on other riskier methods to deal with hair loss. One of the fastest ways to create the illusion of thicker
hair if you have long thinning hair is to cut it off because shorter hair tends to look healthier and have more volume, since it’s not weighed down by extra inches.
Find a skilful hairdresser who can add strategic layers, creating the illusion of high volume hairstyle. When dyeing your hair, aim a few shades
lighter than your natural color to make visible patches of scalp less noticeable. Last but not least, invest in a few funky headwear such as snapbacks,
hats and beanies that can disguise your hair condition while making you fashionable.

Indian women are well known to have strong and long hair in shiny black. Thus it is no secret when they have their own home-made herbal shampoo
that is used by generations after generations. This shampoo is made from three main ingredients namely gooseberry (Amla),
acacia fruit (Shikakai) and soapnut (Reetha). To make this special herbal shampoo, all three herbs are prepared in equal amount,

Onion and Garlic
Garlic and onion can be used as alternatives of herbal hair loss treatments. This is especially convenient if you have no access to other herbs
as these two ingredients would be readily available in the kitchen. Both onion and garlic are not only good for our body but also good for our hair.
Garlic and onion have to be chopped finely to extract their juices before they can be used. These extract removes and destroys harmful toxins and
stimulate blood circulation an important process to the scalp for proper hair growth and prevent hair loss. To apply onion, you need to chop it finely and
extract out the juice. Massage the scalp well with the extract and wash off with a mild shampoo.
Herbal hair loss treatments have been around much longer than the modern medicine and they were significant parts of the recorded history as
well as in the daily life of many who are practising these treatments. Since herbs and the other ingredients used are derived from natural sources, they do
not contain harsh chemical and would be generally safe to be used. However, user should do their own research and seek advice before trying on a
new treatment using new ingredients for fear of the allergic reactions that might occur within individuals.
